The honest traffic read
Manjri is reached off Solapur Road at Manterwadi/Manjari Phata and then along the Hadapsar-Manjri Road, and the pinch points are structural rather than volume-driven: the approaches to the Manjari Budruk railway flyover over the Pune-Daund line, the Mahadevnagar-Manjari Budruk Road, and the Manjari Khurd submersible bridge, which is exactly what its name says it is. Punekar News (6 July 2026) lists all three, plus the PMC School junction at Gopalpatti and the Rangicha Odha crossing, as places that waterlog and stop moving in monsoon. In the dry months this is one of the easier eastern commutes - the queues are at the Solapur Road end, not inside Manjri.
When the streets fill up
Ashadhi Wari puts a heavy-vehicle restriction point at Manjari/Manterwadi Phata, which is Manjri's own junction with Solapur Road, and closes the Pune-Solapur Highway along the procession route on the palkhi day (11 July in the 2026 advisory), so the way into the area is policed rather than free for two or three days. Ganeshotsav brings pandals into the gaothan lanes of Manjri Budruk and Manjri Khurd and an immersion procession that uses the riverside route past the crematorium on the Mula-Mutha, with the citywide visarjan advisory diverting traffic on immersion day.
