  Sources disagree sharply, which is itself the finding. MyBuddyMaid quotes INR 4,500-9,000/month for 'task-based help for 1-4 hours a day' (sweeping-mopping, utensils, dusting, laundry on a fixed daily slot). EzyHelpers' Bengaluru guide of 24 July 2026 quotes INR 8,000-15,000/month for a part-time maid, priced by task bundle rather than by the hour - a single task such as utensils at the bottom, bundled sweeping, mopping, bathrooms and laundry near the top. The independent reference point is the IIHS survey of 9,636 households published December 2022, which found Bengaluru households paying between INR 2,000 and INR 13,000 per month per worker.

  Cost: INR 49 booking fee plus 18% GST, plus a monthly membership fee. Broomees states it takes no cut of the worker's salary.

• EzyHelpers

  A Bengaluru-centred placement agency with location-specific pages across the city. It screens and places live-in, full-time and part-time helpers, nannies and caregivers and publishes a detailed Bengaluru salary guide (last updated 24 July 2026).

  Cost: INR 25,000 plus taxes for a live-in placement; part-time and full-time placement fees are quoted on consultation and not published.

• MyBuddyMaid

  Placement platform with a Bangalore city page. The household pays a one-time access fee for a verified candidate pool, interviews, and agrees the salary with the helper directly.

• Helper4U

  Pan-India placement marketplace for maids, cooks, nannies, caregivers and drivers; households buy a hiring package to view and interview candidates.

  Cost: Tiered one-off hiring packages paid by the household; states no commission on the worker's salary. Prices not published publicly.

• MyGate

  Used across Bengaluru apartment communities for visitor management and society administration - 27,000+ communities, 5 million+ homes, 50+ cities. Daily help are normally admitted on a code or pass issued by the resident.

  Cost: Paid by the society.

• Domestic Workers Rights Union (DWRU)

  Not a placement route, but the organised counterparty in Bengaluru. DWRU negotiates with the Karnataka Labour Department on domestic workers' wages and grievances and has publicly demanded a separate welfare board, departmental inquiry into employer-worker disputes and four days of paid leave a month. A household that wants to get the terms right can use its published demands as a reference point for what workers themselves consider fair.
