The honest traffic read
Old Madras Road and Swami Vivekananda Road carry heavy through traffic, and Trinity Circle on the MG Road end is the standing bottleneck at peaks. Interior Ulsoor lanes around the temple quarter are narrow and choke when the market is busy; Kensington Road along the lake flows better.
When the streets fill up
Ganesha Chaturthi is the big local event - idol immersion processions converge on Ulsoor Lake (authorities now restrict submergence for lake health). The Karaga season each April brings Thigala community processions through the old temple streets, and the Tamil-heritage quarter celebrates Pongal and temple car festivals visibly.
