The honest traffic read
Sinhagad Road runs one long peak-hour queue from Rajaram Bridge through Vitthalwadi, Anand Nagar (Funtime chowk) and Manik Baug toward Vadgaon and Dhayari, with no parallel arterial to absorb it. Rajaram Bridge and the canal-road junctions are the standard chokepoints; monsoon waterlogging near the Mutha riverside stretches makes bad evenings worse. Weekend Sinhagad Fort traffic adds outbound load beyond Vadgaon.
When the streets fill up
This is one of Pune's most festival-intense corridors: Ganeshotsav visarjan processions converge on the Vitthalwadi ghat on the Mutha, closing lanes of Sinhagad Road on the 1.5th, 5th, 7th and 11th days with dhol-tasha pathaks late into the night. Vitthalwadi's Vitthal temple draws Ashadhi/Kartiki Ekadashi crowds. Gudi Padwa and Diwali bring heavy shopping traffic to the Abhiruchi–Vadgaon stretch.
