The honest traffic read
NIBM Road is effectively a single-carriageway spine from Bibwewadi–Kondhwa Road down past NIBM Chowk to the annexe, and it crawls in both peaks; PMC has publicly prioritised widening it for commuter relief (Punekar News). NIBM Chowk and the turn-offs to Salunke Vihar are the daily pinch points. Evening restaurant traffic adds a second, later peak on weekends.
When the streets fill up
Ganeshotsav (Aug–Sep) runs at society and mandal level with a visarjan slowdown on the spine road. Eid festivities in adjoining Kondhwa bring festive but manageable traffic to the lower end of NIBM Road. Christmas and New Year's Eve are felt mostly as restaurant-strip crowds rather than street events.
