The honest traffic read
Keshav Nagar has essentially one proper way in and out - the Keshav Nagar-Mundhwa Road up to Mundhwa Chowk and the Mundhwa bridge - and that single spine carries every tower built on the Mutha bank since the 2017 merger. The informal relief is the unpaved Keshav Nagar-Kharadi link across the riverbed, which is what people actually use to reach EON and the Kharadi offices; the Free Press Journal recorded it submerged when the Mula-Mutha swelled on 6 July 2026, and when it goes under, the whole area's morning commute reverts to Mundhwa Chowk. Expect the squeeze between about 8.30 and 10.30am towards Kharadi and Magarpatta, and again 6.30-8.30pm, with Mundhwa Chowk the reliable failure point.
When the streets fill up
Ganeshotsav is the local disruption here rather than a citywide one: the single Keshav Nagar-Mundhwa Road spine gets pandals and immersion processions on it, and Pune's visarjan-day advisory closes roads and diverts traffic across the east of the city. Ashadhi Wari does not pass through Keshav Nagar, but it closes the Pune-Solapur Highway and the Pune-Saswad Road on the procession day and bars heavy vehicles at the Kharadi Bypass Chowk and Kharadi Octroi Naka next door, so the Kharadi-side approaches thicken for two or three days in July even though no road in Keshav Nagar itself is shut.
