The honest traffic read

Vikhroli is squeezed between LBS Marg on the west and the Eastern Express Highway on the east, and the only real link between the two sides is the station road bridge, a single chokepoint for buses, autos and Godrej colony traffic. The JVLR junction at Vikhroli East, where the Powai link meets the highway, backs up in both peaks and is the usual reason a two-kilometre trip takes twenty minutes. Park Site and Kannamwar Nagar internal roads are narrow and lined with parked vehicles.

When the streets fill up

Ganesh Chaturthi is the big one: the Kannamwar Nagar, Tagore Nagar and Park Site mandals put up large pandals in already narrow colony lanes, and immersion processions shut internal roads and spill onto LBS Marg. Dahi Handi mandals in Park Site and Kannamwar Nagar draw govinda troupes travelling between Vikhroli and Ghatkopar, so LBS Marg is diverted through the day. Navratri garba on the Godrej colony grounds runs late for nine nights and makes evening parking near the station bridge nearly impossible.
