The honest traffic read
Cuffe Parade is a cul-de-sac: almost everything funnels onto Captain Prakash Pethe Marg and out via Colaba Causeway or Madame Cama Road, so a single blockage backs up the whole pocket. Office-hour peaks around the World Trade Centre and Maker Towers are the worst, and the long-proposed Nariman Point link bridge is still not built, so there is no northern bypass. The Metro Line 3 station has taken some pressure off the Causeway run into Fort.
When the streets fill up
Ganesh visarjan hits this pocket hard: the traffic advisory closes Nathalal Parekh Marg, Captain Prakash Pethe Marg and Rambhau Salgaonkar Marg to all but emergency vehicles. Cuffe Parade and Badhwar Park are specifically flagged for heavy congestion on immersion days, because local mandals bring idols down to the seafront here. Expect to walk out to Colaba Causeway rather than get a cab in or out on Anant Chaturdashi.
